DANCE AT NORTHCOTE
The Northcote Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association held a very successful dance last evening in the Onewa Picturedrome, with the object of raising funds to further local improvements. The thanks of the committee are particularly due to Mr. E. Fraser, who placed his new and popular hall at the disposal of the association for the evening, and to the “Bing Boys” dance orchestra, who gave their appreciated services gratis. The committee is to be congratulated on the really social spirit of the dance. Much amusement was caused by introduction of the lancers, which were enjoyed equally by the dancers and the onlookers. This was quite a novelty and an encore was demanded very enthusiastically. Among those present were: Mesdames Johnston, McGill, Fraser, Davey, Hallett.
