ROADS FLOODED

MOTORS GO THROUGH WATER RISING AT MERCER THE water is a foot deep across the road at Mercer for a distance of 20 yards, and is still rising. Motorists are not experiencing any difficulty in getting through. At Rangiriri, between Mercer and Huntly, the water is lapping the road. The Matamata road is quite dry. Between Te Aroha and Paeroa the read is flooded in three places, at one of which the water is 18 inches deep, and is causing motorists a good deal of bother. All THE SUN’S motor services have had no difficulty in getting through to the various districts they serve. Reports from the various districts state htat th eriver is in fairly high flood.
