VALUABLE CAR WRECKED
FOUND ON ROADSIDE THEFT AT WHANGAREI Press Association. WHANGAREI, To-day. A valuable Willys-Knight car, owned by Mr. H. W. Crawford, managing director of the “Northern Advocate.” was audaciously commandeered from the well-lighted front of the Y.M.C.A. rooms about 10 o’clock last night and later found in a badly-wrecked condition on the main roadside near Hikurangi, evidently having somersaulted twice. Bloodstains denoted injury to the person or persons concerned. The police are investigating.
