One result Lg been the almost complete isolation of Bombay. Mail trains from Peshawur and the Punjab are marooned in the flooded area, and all communication with the latter has been cut off. Hundreds of square miles of country are submerged. fifteen inches of rain fell yesterday. Scores of bridges have been ifMhed away in the Sadiya frontier tracts on the Assam border. 1 phenomenal rain is reported to l, a ve fallen in Burma, where 10 incites were registered.
