Results: PARK HURDLES HANDICAP, 12 miles. 2 HIGHWAY, 11.5 1 I—ROYAL HEATHER, 10.8 2 6 TING MAUNGA, 9.3 3 Scr.: Arataura. Won by a head ; five lengths between second and third. Time, 3.19 1-5. Royal Heather was badly placed early in the race, but led into the straight. Highway made the best finish, however, the others being well back. MAIDEN HACK RACE, 5 furlongs. 3 -ESSENTIAL, 9st 1 1— ABISOGNE, 9st * " 2 7 jen, 9st ;; 3 Scratched: Heatherteen and Kongo. Won by a neck; 1 £ lengths between second and third. Time, 1.5 2-5. Essential was the smartest away and led the field to the post, staving off the challenge by Abisogne in the straight. FLYING HANDICAP, 6 furlongs. 2 SUPERB KING, 9.3 1 S—STARTLE, 9.10 " *> I—KAITI,1 —KAITI, 10.4 ;; 3 Scratched: Royal Diadem, Buoyant and Othon. Won by a head, only a head bel"r£v!n second and third. Time, 1.17 2-5. Ihe first four horses -were bunched together in a close finish.
