PROJECT FOR HAMILTON APPEAL FOR LOAN (From Our Ovjn Correspondent ) HAMILTON, To-day. Consideration of the Garden Place scheme for the creation of a civic square in Hamilton, was advanced a further step at a special meeting of the borough council last night, when the scheme was discussed in committee and approved as outlined by the engineer. The committee reported that further negotiations had reduced the cash required to a smaller amount. After discussion the question was referred back to the committee to consider more fully the disposal of the excavated spoil to the best advantage A special committee was set up to deal with the financial arrangements and it was decided to bring the project before the ratepayers as soon as it was opportune.
