BURNED TO DEATH MISHAP AT MANOEUVRES By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Monday. The Royal Air Force manoeuvres were to-day marred by tragedy at the Northolt airdrome, in Middlesex. When the 17th Squadron was returning to the base, Flying Officer Anderson’s plane collided with the next machine, and crashed. The pilot was burned to death in the sight of hundreds of spectators, who were unable to approach the blazing machine. The pilot in the second plane managed to land safely.—A. and N.Z.
