A REAL PEARL

One of the finest pacing mares in the Dominion at the present time is Sea Pearl, who is owned by the Auckland sportsman, Mr. G. McMillan and trained in the South by Floy Berry. Sea Pearl was bred by the Ashburton light harness enthusiast and president of the Trotting Conference, Mr. H. F. Nicoll, being by Nelson Bingen from Pearl Child, dam of several high-class performers. During the 1926-27 season Sea Pearl won stakes to the value of 3,030 sovs., and registered a placed performance of 4.26 3-5 for two miles, which brings her within New Zealand Cup range. As the Auckland mare is just entering her sixth year she promises to do great th ngs in the new season and before it closes Sea Pearl will be acclaimed one of the most brilliant pacers of the year.
