EVERYBODY’S
“THE WILD HORSE STAMPEDE” One of the most beautiful scenic spots in the world appears in "The Wild Horse Stampede,” the Universal Blue-Streak Western starring - Jack Hoxie. which comes to Everybody’s Theatre on Friday. Exteriors for the picture were made near Lone Pine, California, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range in Southern California, and the camera has recorded some exceptionally beautiful shots. Lone Pine is a little mining and ranching town, huddled in a broad valley, with towering mountains fringing it on all sides. Not far away stands Mount Whitney, highest point in the United States, silently contemptuous of the lesser peaks. Iloxie, star of the picture, owns a ranch in the valleys surrounding Lone Pine and spends most of his vacation periods in the mountains, so whenever possible he arranges location trips there while making his film productions. Albert -Pwogell, Hoxie’s director, included much of the beautiful scenery in “The Wild Horse Stampede” as a lifting background to the dramatic and thrilling story which is unfolded in the picture. Wallace Beery, whom patrons will remember in "Behind the Front” and "We’re In the Navy Now,” will be seen at Everybody’s Theatre on Friday. This time it is in another Paramount picture, "Old Ironsides,” a tale of throbbing adventure and life on the rolling main. Others in the cast of this famous James C'ruze production are George Bancroft, Esther Ralston. Charles Farrell and Johnny Walker.
