Five thousand cases of New Zealand apples, ex Tainui, which arrived on June 10, were cold stored at Southampton as an experiment.- They are now marketing in London in excellent condition. Sturmers make 17s to 21s: Statesman, 20s to 23s a case.—A. and N.Z. TARANAKI OILFIELDS Taranaki Oilfields Report.—Waiapu No. 2 well: Water not effectively shut off. Drilled to 1,919 ft. in hard shale. Preparing to cement again. Gisborne No. 1 well: Commenced drilling on Monday.— Press Association.
