BROWNLIE-DONALD CASE SUPPORT FOR McKENZIE WELLINGTON, Monday. The Wellington Rugby Referees’ Association has carried the following resolution: “That this associa ion protests against the ‘whitewashing’ of the ordered off the field in the recent Ranfurly Shield match, in the face of definite charges of misconduct made by the referee.” CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Referees’ Association it was decided" to support the New Zealand Referees’ Association in any action taken regarding the recent Ranfurly Shield match between Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay.
