ITALIAN RACING
In a difficult hill climb of 3§ miles in length, open to club members only, and organised by the Auto Moto Club of Liverno (Italy), first prize in the 1,100 c.c. touring class was captured by Ugo Pini in a Fiat 509, his time being 7min 54sec. The road was both difficult and dangerous, and made high maximum speeds impossible. Second place in this class was won by Ivernot (Fiat) in Smin 20sec. Corcos (Fiat) was third in Smin 34sec, and Andreozzi (Fiat) fourth in Bmin 54sec. The winner in the 1,500 c.c. class was Prachia (Ceirano) in 7min 23 3-ssec, followed by Bittossi (Ceirano) in 7min 47sec, Grizelli (Bianchi) in Smin 18sec and Balluchi (Ceirano) in Smin 42 2-ssec. The only competitor to finish in the 2,000 c.c. class was Cortese (Itala) in 7min 6 4-ssec. Among the sports cars of more than 2.000 c.c., Polese (Alfa Romeo) was first in 7min 57sec. The fastest racing car was an Itala, driven by Cortese in 6min 57sec, with Xanni* pieri (Ansaldo) second in 7min 7sec c
