TE AWAMUTU ORPHANS

ENJOYABLE SOCIAL (From Our Otcn Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, To-day. The Te Awamutu Town Hall was packed on Saturday night, when a social evening was held by the Orphans’ Club. Bro. E. W. M. Carter, a past president, occupied the chair and a thoroughly enjoyable programme of well varied items was presented. A capable party of entertainers, the Harmonic Four, from Hamilton, were much enjoyed. The members of tluparty were Bros. Battersby, Quill. Outrim and Mason, all being soloists of ability as well as a quartette party. The Orphans’ orchestra, under Br>. E. J. S. Moeller, gave several splendid items. The local club’s male choir, under the baton of Bro. K. T. Walter, contributed greatly to the enjoyment of the evening The vice-president of the Hamilton Club, speaking on behalf of the visitors, wished the local club abundance of success. A representative party from his club would shortly pay a fraternal visit to Te Awamutu.
