OLD TAMAKIAN PASSES
DEATH OF MR. T. CHURCHES A well-known resident of West Tamaki, Mr. Thomas Churches, died on Saturday, at the age of 74. Mr. Churches was born at St. Heliers Bay, and had lived in the district all his life. His parents arrived in New Zealand in the early 'forties and were among the first settlers at St. Heliers. Of a retiring disposition, Mr. Churches took no active part in public affairs. He carried on farming in the district for many years. He is surI vivecl by a son and a daughter.
