CATHOLIC SOCIAL The social and drawing of prizes in connection with the bazaar in aid of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Anthony’s was brought to a most successful conclusion on Thursday evening in the Town Hall. The handicraft of the good Sisters needs no eulogy, and keen interest was displayed when Mr. Ingram, of the Police Department, supervised the drawing of the beautiful artistic work. The chief prizes went to Wellington (3), Opotiki (1), Hamilton tl), Huntly (2). in addition to many minor drawings. Mr. H. Berry acted as M.C. for the dancing portion of the evening, Mrs. Brook and Mr. J. Allen supplying the music. The winners at cards were Mrs. Randall and Mr. Giles.
