Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting, of the Mount Roskill Road Board held on Tuesday. 19th day of July. 1927, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the board to be held on TUESDAY, the 23rd August, 1927. at the hour of 7.30 p.m.. at the ofitce of the Board, Mount Albert Road. RESOLUTION. That the Mount Roskill Road Board doth hereby by Special Resolution intending .jhat the same shall operate as a Special Order, resolve as follows In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 16 of The Local Bodies Loans Act. 1913. and with the consent of the WESLEY TRAINING COLLEGE, owners of Block 14. Waikowhai Estate. Parish of Titlrangi, situate within the Mount Roskill Road District, comprising the Special Rating Area in the Mount Roskill Road District hereinafter described, testified by a signed petition of three-fourths of the ratepayers whose nronerties -as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the district is collectively greater than the capital value of the properties of those ratepayers who do not so consent to the raising of the loan, the Mount Roskill Road Board herebv resolved by way of Special Order as follows: — “That for the purpose of the lavina of a four-inch (4in.) water main with all necessary valves, fire-plugs and accessories in Ridge Road, commencing at a point near to the intersection of Carlton Street with Ridge Road and terminating at the vehicular turn in Cape Horn Road for a water supply to the Wesley Training College land's, the Mount Roskill Road Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED POUNDS (£3.100) at a rate of interest not exceeding six per centum per annum for a period of 36J years and declares that the cost of raising the said loan together with the first year’s interest and sinking fund shall be paid out of the moneys so raised.” SPECIAL RATING AREA. The Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Auckland and the Auckland City Council having obtained the necessary Statutory consent of the Local Government Loans Board HEREBY GIVE NOTICE in pursuance of Section 10 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926. (1) That the Auckland City Council proposes to engage in the following undertaking, namely—Tramways and Transport Development by extending and duplicating the existing Tram Tracks, the erection of Omnibus Depots, including garages, the acquisition of the necessary land therefor, and the provision of new Tram Cars. (2) That the Auckland City Council, being unable to provide the funds for such works out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to raise a Special Loan of not exceeding £500,000, to be known as the Tramways and Transport Development Loan, 1927. (3) That the said Loan wall be repayable at the end of thirty years wath provision for a Sinking Fund of li per cent, per annum. (4) That the proposed security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of 4id in the £ on the annual rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland. (5) That the Auckland City Council proposes to pay out of the Loan the costs, charges, and expenses of and in connection with the raising thereof, but not the interest or sinking fund thereon for the first year. (6) The copy of the resolution passed by the Local Government Loans Board and certified to by the Chairman may be seen at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland, during business hours.
