London Retail Meat Prices. —The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has been advised by its London manager that the following retail prices are being quoted for New Zealand lamb and mutton retailed in London on July 5, 1927: New Zealand lamb.—Legs, 14d a lb; shoulders 14d; loins, 13d; necks, Sd; breasts, sd. New Zealand mutton (wether). —Legs, lOd a lb; shoulders, 9d; loins, 9d; necks, 6Jd; breasts, 3d. i Dairy Board Vacancy. —After the August meeting of the Dairy Produce Board, Mr. W. Claude Motion’s resignation becomes effective. No election will be necessary, however. The Act provides that in the event of a casual vacancy, including one caused by the resignation of an elected member, “the Governor-General may, on : the recommendation of the board, ap- ' point some fit person” for the residue i of the retiring member’s term.
