Around the Churches
At the Young Men’s Christian Association on Sunday afternoon Mr. Alex Mill spoke on “Lopsided Men.” Mr. V. Welch was the soloist. The Spiritual Scientists’ Church held services as usual yesterday. At the evening meeting Mrs. Harris-Roberts gave the address. Other meetings will be held on Wednesday and Saturday. A missionary campaign at St. George’s, Takapuna, was conducted by Mrs. McNeur in the morning and the Rev. J. Pattison in the afternoon. The Rev. W. Lawson Marsh, M.A., was the preacher in the evening. The Associated Churches of Christ held services as usual at Ponsonby Road, Dominion Road, Richmond, Avondale, Mount Albert and Devonport. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, held services yesterday. Another meeting will be held on Wednesday. At the Royal Oak Baptist Church the services were conducted by Messrs. V. Hudson and B. N. Wilson, both Baptist College students.
