SOMERVILLE V. FRANKLIN

TWO DRAWN GAMES (From Our Own Con'espondent.) WAIUKU, Saturday. On Saturday a senior and junior Somerville team journeyed to Waiuku to play matches against the Franklin senior and junior representatives. The playing area, especially at the northern end, was very wet, and soon became a quagmire, and this stopped many nice passing rushes by both teams. Under the conditions prevailing, high-class hockey was out of the question, but nevertheless the spectators were created to some good stickwork. Both matches resulted in drawn games, the score being one all in each instance.
