PERSONAL. —The Apanui has resumed running after undergoing annual overhaul and survey. Captain E. Geortz is in command, and Mr. J. Hopkins is chief officer. The Waiotahi, which replaces the Claymore in the Whangarei-Auckland run to-morrow night, is commanded by Captain H. Richards, who has with him the following officers: —Chief, Mr. T. Beardshaw; second, Mr. G. Mann; chief engineer, Mr. A. Bond. M!RO FOR AUCKLAND. The Nobel Explosive Company’s auxiliary ketch Miro, left Dunedin yesterday morning with a full cargo of produce for. Auckland. She is expected to arrive here in about a week. HINEMOA SAILS MONDAY —Spedding, Limited, advises that the Government steamer Hinemoa will now leave Auckland at 3 p.m. on Monday for Niue Island and is expected to return here about August 24. WA!PAH 1 FOR COOK ISLANDS.— The Union Company announced this morning that the Island fruit steamer Waipahi has been fixed to leave Auckland on August 3 for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu, Mauke and Mangaia. HAGGERSGATE LEAVES NEW PLYMOUTH. —Henderson and Macfarlane advise that the cargo steamer Haggersgate sailed from New Plymouth yesterday for Wellington, where she is due to-day to undergo repairs to her boilers which it is expected to take about two months to repair. TO COMPLETE LOAD! NG.—Leaving New Plymouth this afternoon for Auckland, where she is due on Monday, Heather, Roberton and Company advise that the C. and D. Line’s motorship Port Dunedin will complete her loading here and sail finally on July 28 for Genoa, Marseilles and London, via Australia and Suez. ATHENIC’S MOVEMENTS.— Due at Tokomaru Bay to-day from Waikokopu, L. D. Nathan and Company expect the White Star liner Athenic to arrive at Auckland on Tuesday to complete her loading. She is scheduled to sail finally from this port next Saturday for Southampton and London via Panama. HUNTINGDON COMPLETI NG.— At present completing her loading at Auckland, the New Zealand Shipping Company is endeavouring to dispatch the Federal steamer Huntingdon at daybreak next Thursday for London. Avonmouth, Glasgow,-Manchester and Liverpool, via Panama. KAITOKE LEAVES NEWCASTLE. —Cable advice received by the Union Company states that the cargo steamer Kaitoke sailed from Newcastle at 11 p.m. on Thursday for Auckland. She is due here on Wednesday next, and after discharge, returns to Newcastle again. AORANGI AT VANCOUVER.—According to cable, advice received by the Union Company the R.M.M.S Aorangi arrived at Vancouver at 7 a.m. yesterday from Sydney, via ports. She is scheduled to leave next Wednesday on her return trip, and is expected here on Sunday, August 14. KARTIGI FROM AUSTRALIA— The Union Company’s steamer Kartigi arrived last evening from Australia and berthed this morning at Prince’s Wharf to discharge a general cargo. The vessel loaded at Adelaide, Wallaroo, Stanley (Tasmania) and sailed finally from Melbourne on Friday, July 15. She experienced a generally fair weather trip across, with moderate winds and calm seas prevailing throughout. From Auckland, the Kartigi sails on Monday for Portland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete the discharge of her cargo of potatoes, onions and Hour, etc.

KANNA FOR WALPOLE ISLAND. —The Union Company advises that the cargo steamer Kanna arrives at Auckland at 12.30 p.m. to-day from Greymouth, via Westport and berths at the Chelsea wharf. After discharge here, the vessel will leave on Tuesday for Noumea, thence Walpole Island, where she will load for Bluff and Dunedin.

IKALA FROM CANADA.—With cargo from Canada for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin and Melbourne, the New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Jkala is expected to reach this port next Thursday afternoon from Montreal.

lONIC AT LYTTELTON —Arriving at Lyttelton this morning from Bluff, the "White Star liner lohic leaves on Tuesday for Wellington, where she completes loading and finally departs at daybreak on Sunday, July 31, for Southampton and London via Panama.

TEKOA'S PROGRAMME. —Due at Opua to-day from New Plymouth, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tekoa later proceeds to Gisborne, Napier, Wanganui and Wellington to complete loading. She is scheduled to sail finally from the lastmentioned port on August 13 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester via Panama. MAT ATUA’S ITINERARY.-The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the steamer Matatua leaves Dunedin to-day for Oamaru, thence New Plymouth, Wellington. Napier, Gisborne and Auckland to load for Antwerp and London. She is due here on August 10, and is to clear this port finally on August 13, taking the Cape Horn route Home. RUAHINE AT COLON.— News has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their liner Ruahine arrived at Colon on Tuesday from London and Southampton, en route to Auckland and Wellington. MARYLAND RE PO RTS.— According to a radio message received by Henerson and Macfarlane, the cargo steamer Maryland is expected to arrive at Auckland late to-morrow evening from Ocean Island. The vessel, which is bringing a full cargo of phosphates for discharge at this port will berth at the King’s Wharf. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO STEAM—The Union Company advises the following movements of their steamers engaged in the trans-Pacific cargo services : The Waitemata, from Napier, is due at Wellington to-day. She' will leave there on Monday for Melbourne and Sydney, to complete discharge. The Waihemo is expected to leave Dunedin to-day for Bluff and New Plymouth, to complete discharge of her inward cargo. .The "Wairuna, which arrived at Vancouver on July 21, is expected to leave Ocean Falls to-day for San Francisco direct. She will clear San Francisco about August 1. The Hauraki is expected to leave Sydney on Monday for Fiji. Vancouver, and San Francisco. She is due at Suva on July 31. The Waiotapu, from Sydney, arrived at Suva on Tuesday, and will sail again on July 27 for Vancouver and San Francisco. She is due at Vancouver about August IS. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follow :

The Wairuna will load at Vancouver and San Francisco late in July and early in August for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Waiotapu will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during August for Auckland, ’W ellington. Melbourne, and Sydney.

The Waihemo will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during late August and early September for Apia, Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and New Plymouth. The Hauraki will load at Vancouver and San Francisco in September for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne Adelaide, and Sydney. The Waitemata will load at Vancouver and San Francisco late in September and early in October for Auckland Melbourne, and Sydney. The Wairuna will load at Vancouver and San Francisco late in October and early in November for New Zealand and Australian ports.

RIMUTAKA'S VOYAGE. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Rimutaka arrived in the stream at Wellington shortly after 6 o’clock from London and Southampton, via the Panama route. The Rimutaka loaded at London, and sailed on June 9. She called in at Southampton to pick up passengers and mails, and sailed again on June 10. A good run was made to I anama, where the vessel arrived on June 25. A few’ passengers joined the vessel there, and the liner continued her voyage. A stop was made off Pitcairn Island on July 8. Up till then the Rimutaka had made her fastest steammg record for her run to New Zeaiand, but thence onward strong gales and high seas greatly reduced the vessel s speed, so that she was delayed m making port.
