PRAMS IN DEMAND

POWELL’S OF EDEN TERRACE UP-TO-DATE SEAGRASS FACTORY Founded only seven and a-half years ago, and now one of the leading seagrass factories in the North Island, Messrs. A. and W. Powell, of 40 Eden Terrace, can claim to have flourished on a creditable scale. The works have lately been remodelled with the addition of a new painting shop, a department for the manufacture of springs and an extended body-buildine department. The prams of A. and W. Powell are completely constructed on the premises, and have a reputation as baby carriages of the highest grade. The “Run Well” trade slogan of the firm stands for a well-made and attractive nursery vehicle that runs with the greatest smoothness, straightness and security, and does not jolt or jar the precious mite it conveys. Doubleleafed specially-forged steel springs. English wheels, perfect balance, solid brass rose hood fittings and substantial body and hood, combine to make “Run Well” prams in their various models the pride of many parents throughout New Zealand. Doll prams are included in the manufacture. An important activity is the making of seagrass furniture, including lounge chairs with leg rest and settees, basketware and trays. Repair work is also undertaken.
