STORE BROKEN INTO MAN PLEADS GUILTY

(From Our Own Correspondent.) RAETIHI, To-day. In the Magistrate’s Court, Raetihi, before Messrs. W. H. Sandford and T. Fagg, J.P.’s, Wiliam Robert Henderson was charged with breaking and entering a shop at Horopito, belonging to Nellie Petersen, and stealing goods and cash to the value of £9 Is. Constable McCowan said he received a telephone message that the shop had been broken into, and went out and found a side window had been forced Bootmarks in the snow were found under the window and finger prints on the glass. On information received he interviewed accused, who said he had been out but did not kno\y where, as he walked in his sleep. He denied all knowledge of breaking into the shop, but later made a statement confessing his guilt, and the goods were produced. He guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
