FORM OF GRAND NATIONAL CANDIDATES

The following table shows how the majority o£ horses entered for this year’s Grand National Steeplechase have fared in the more important races this season over big fences. The list makes it possible to compare the weights carried and the positions of each horse at the finish is shown by the figures in parentheses after the weights. Horses that failed to complete the course are depicted thus: “p,” pulled up, and “f,” fell. Where no figure or letter is shown the horse did not start. The races in the table are respectively the Great Northern, winter (Ellerslie), Wellington, July (Trentham) and the Grand National. -
