A FORGETFUL DRUNK George Keenan, aged 34. had little recollection of what happened yesterday when he appeared at the Police Court to-day charged with drunkenness and using obscene language. Evidence was given that Keenan had gone into an office on the w-ater-front yesterday demanding money, which he alleged was then due to him. He refused to go away, used the obscene language, and was finally arrested. Keenan said he remembered nothing of the affair. Sub-Inspector Hendry said accused had been convicted for drunkennessfour times during the past six months, and he had 42 previous convictions. For drunkenness he was fined £3, in default 10 days’ imprisonment, and for using the language £2, in default seven days’ imprisonment.
