OVERSEAS CARGO
MONTHLY RETURNS DECREASE FOR JUNE During the month of June 76,225 tons of general cargo arrived at the port of Auckland. This is a decrease of 24,594 tons on the import cargo for June of last year. The number of passengers which arrived in the port was 778 compared with 1.056 departures. The import cargo tonnage came from the following countries: New Zealand coastal, beyond Auckland, 29,361 tons; Pacific Islands. 7,144 tons; Australia, 11,958 tons; Cuba, 5,788 tons; United Kingdom. 10.092 tons; Canada, 4,719 tons; United States, 7,101 tons; India, 61 tons, and Burma 1 ton.
