A suspension of business by the Civil Engineering Company will mean that 1,500 men are thrown out of employment. It was announced yesterday that the managing director of the Civil Engineering Construction Company, one of the largest firms in Australia, has decided to recommend the suspension of the company’s operations when the existing contracts have been finished.
