“STARK AND HIDEOUS”
MURDER OF MR. O’HIGGINS PRELATE’S DENUNCIATION LONDON, Monday. In a sermon the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin, Dr. E. J. Byrne, appealed to his flock to ignore the specious phraseology with which an endeavour was being made to palliate the stark and hideous murder of the late Vice-President, Mr. Kevin O’Higgins. The Archbishop urged the young men of Ireland to avoid secret societies, which the Church forbids.—A. and N.Z.
