VICTORIA LEAGUE

EVER-READY COMMITTEE The Ever-Ready Committee of the Victoria League held a book afternoon yesterday in its rooms in Shortland Street. A book-title competition was held, which was won by Miss Holland and Mrs. J. Dawson. Each guest brought a book and magazine, suitable for young people, and the Literature Committee was very grateful for the fine collection that was handed in to be sent to the backblocks.
