BOY FIRE-RAISERS ADMIT THEIR GUILT
SENT TO SUPREME COURT LONG LIST OF CHARGES The three boys, whose varied criminal depredations culminated in the partial burning of the Normal School on July 3, appeared at the Police Court yesterday afternoon, and admitting their guilt, were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Two other boys who were associated with them in some of the offences, were sent back to the Child ren’s Court to be dealt with there. Detective Knight said that some of the accused were noticed by Detective Sinclair and himself at the time of the Normal School fire. Three days afterwards the eldest boy made a statement admitting his guilt. The other four were interviewed later, and also admitted guilt. There were 54 charges against accused. The list included 11 charges of arson, three of breaking and entering, and six of giving false alarms to the City Fire Brigade.
