A “LIVE WIRE” BODY
AUCKLAND A. AND P. ASSN. SHIFTING HEADQUARTERS Always in the van of progress, there is every possibility of the Auckland A. and P. Association within the next week or so making yet another move which will make more secure its position as New Zealand's “live wire” association. 'NEGOTIATIONS are now under way to move the association’s headquarters to a more central position and to make the rooms more attractive for the farmer visitor.
Substantial as have been the facilities offered members and visitors in the past, the present proposal is to take over a suite of rooms which can act more in the form of a club.
Provision will be made for a large well-lighted board-room. The library will also be given greater prominence, while it is also probable that provision will be made for writing rooms and other conveniences for country members. The offices will also be housed on the same floor. It is understood that the committee has three or four suites of rooms under offer, but the decision should be announced within the course of the next few days.
