ENGLAND V. THE REST TEAMS SELECTED By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright Reed. 11.50 a.m. LONDON, Monday. The following team has been selected for England in the match England v. The Rest at Bristol on July 23: Jardine (captain), Jupp, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Hammond, Woolley, Hallows, Tate, Larwood, Freeman, Livesey. The other team is: Jackson, captain (Derbyshire), Holmes (Oxford University), Sandham, Hearne, Geary, Hendren, Holmes (Yorkshire), Aimes, wicket-keeper (Kent), Bates (Warwickshire), Nichols (Essex), Clark (Northampton) . Chapman was invited to play, but could not accept. Colonel Philip Trevor regrets the non-inclusion of Stevens, and says that England also needs a slow lefthand bowler.
