Honesty Rewarded

BOY GIVEN £5 PICKED UP £IOO IN QUEEN ST. An Auckland boy is the proud possessor of a £5 note to-day. Yesterday afternoon, he was running to catch a tram. He kicked a packet which was lying in the street, picked it up and found that it contained five £2O notes. This morning that packet contaning the notes was returned to the owners, Messrs. Barry and Beale, eve specialists. of 322 Queen Street. It was dropped in Queen Street yesterday afternoon about 4.30 o’clock by the office boy. Messrs. Barry and Beale have renewed their faith in human nature, and presented the finder with £5 for his honesty. The boy did not return the packet personally. It was handed into the office by a deputy.
