BENZINE USED IN AMERICA The United States now spends between five and six million dollars daily for benzine, largely for the operation of automobiles. The daily consumption of benzine for 1927 is more than 27,000,000 gallons. The production this year has been maintained somewhat in advance of demand, although the daily consumption for 1926 was 24,000 gallons. Since 1922 the domestic demand has increased nearly 108 per cent.
