HAMILTON PREPARES FOR CANADIAN TEAM
SOUTH AUCKLAND MATCH The Canadians piay in Hamilton on Wednesday, and given fine weather a good mid-week crowd should be present. Auckland’s team is a strong one, probably the best put out in the past couple of seasons, the main players for comment being Tai (Huntly Thistle) and Chalmers (Railways'). Critics question the latter’s abilities at outside left, and Tait is considered to have seen his best days. Buchanan (Railways) leaves for Australia next Friday, but is remaining over to lead the South Auckland side on Wednesday. A civic reception is being given to the visitors on the morning of the game, and, as the Canadians are fond of dancing, a ball has been arranged in the%- honour in the evening. Alderman Adam, their manager, and his wife, will, in company with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Cox. view the Waitomo Caves on Thursday. Special leave has been arranged for certain Government Department employees in Hamilton for the day. and most of the country trains from that centre have been delayed-
