Lowe covered the halfmile in 1.53 4-ssec —a record. Lord Burghley. by throwing out his. chest in the last stride, inflicted the first defeat of this season on F. R. Gaby in the 120 yards hurdle.—A. and N.Z.-Sun. Reed. 10.55 a.m. BERLIN, Sunday. At the national athletic meeting, in the 200 metres fiat race, Koernig beat Houben in 21 2-ssec. The 5,000 metre race was won by Kohn in 15 min 3 l-ssec. Both are German records.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
