DEATH IN GAOL
OLD MAN SUCCUMBS (.Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, To-day. Recently an old man named John Benjamin Alston, undergoing a sentence of three years at Wanganui Gaol, scalded his foot. He received medical attention and the foot healed, but yesterday morning he collapsed and died. Medical evidence at the inquest was to the effect that death was due to heart failure, and a verdict was returned accordingly.
