MOANATAIARIS WEAKER DEBENTURES FIRM Alining was active on the ’Change this morning, though the tendency still remains downward. Aloanataiaris weakened at the early call to see sales at 2s 9d and 2s Bd, buyers closing at 2s 7d. The market strengthened again at mid-day to see a further sale at 2s 9d, closing with sellers 2s lid and buyers 2s Bd. The bottom has fallen out of the Lucky Shot market and the mid-day call saw buyers leave with Is fid and Is 4d quoted for the ordinary and contributing shares respectively. Banks registered increased activity and New Zealands and Nat. of New Zealands were dealt with. The coal section remains in good tone with firm buyers and few sellers. Renowns, with a call pending, register their customary „ weakness at such a time. Government and local body debentures remain firm at current quotations.
