AUCKLAND CONFERENCE EVANGELIST BADER'S VISIT A flourishing condition in all branches of the church was reportea by Mr. J. G. Bell at the half-yearly conference, which opened at the Churcn of Christ in Ponsonby Road on Saturday. All the Auckland provincial churches of this communion were represented. .. Reference to the approaching visit o*. Mr. Jesse M. Bader was made by Mr. Bell in the course of his address, ljje evangelist came with a big reputatio from the United States, where he ha<j been conducting highly successiu appeals, he said, and they were muc looking forward to his visit to Auckland. • In order that Mr. Bader should attena the conference, explained Mr. Bell, u had been called together a earlier than usual. The preliminary meetings in connection with his visit had been highly successful, and they were looking forward to an equally successful campaign in Auckland. Reports from the different committees of the Auckland provincial as iation were submitted, including tna* of the home missionary division. A 1 revealed a healthy state of affairs. The conference will be continues next week.
