NEXT SATURDAY’S SPORTS FIXTURES
\ very attenuated sports programme will be served up to winter sports followers next Saturday, but there should be full compensation by reason of the fact that the fourth and deciding Soccer test will be played at Carlaw Park between Canada and New Zealand. As a matter of course, all Soccer club fixtures will be suspended, while in addition to lending its main ground to the Soccer authorities, the Auckland Rugby League has also put off its usual list of fixtures. Hockey fixtures, too, will be suspended, and the Rugby Union is also assisting the Soccer folk in making up some of the financial leeway on the Canadian tour. In the senior Rugby fixtures only B grade matches will be played, the senior A division supplying two representative fifteens which will travel to Whangarei and Hamilton respectively to play North Auckland and Waikato.
