BUSINESS DEAD MINING IDLE Local business on the 'Change is dead, and little business has been recorded during the past two days. Bank shares continue depressed and generally idle. A healthy demand i* recorded for insurance scrip, but few sales are made. Coals continue in good tone with few sellers, and buyers firm. New Zealand Breweries are improving slowly. Mining is dull and inactive. Few sales are recorded, and the tendency, it any. is downward. Government and local body debentures continue in good tone, and meet with a firm demand.
