CHARGE OF BOOKMAKING
WELL-KNOWN CITIZEN ARRESTED TO-DAY REMANDED TILL MONDAY A well-known Auckland citizen. Con McDevitt, was arrested this morning on a charge of carrying on business as a bookmaker. Later he was charged at the Police Court, and, on the application of Senior-Detective Hammond, was remanded to appear on Monday at the Magistrate’s Court. Bail was allowed.
