TRAMWAYMEN’S EXECUTIVE

RESULT OF ELECTIONS The elections for the executive of the Auckland Tramwaymen’s and Municipal Omnibus Employees’ Union, which were held yesterday, resulted:—President, J. J. Nixon; vice-president. F. E. Martin; treasurer, W. C. Wells; secretary, J. Liddell (unopposed). The following representatives were also elected:—H. Booth, V. Archibald. J. Coan, B. Davey, J. Jennings, M. McAlister, E. Ashford. T. Wilkinson. H. R. Brown, C. Warden, 11. McKcating. H. G. Roberts. Polling was every heavy, and the count of votes, which was conducted on the preferential system, was a strenuous task, some of the ballots going to the sixth count before reaching a decision.
