THE PORT FREMANTLE. —The Fort Fremantle, which arrived at Sydney recently, is one of live new vessels representing the latest additions to the tonnage of the line, and all have proved satisfactory from the point of vie\v both of the owners and the ships’ complements. The Port Fremantle left London on April 30 and reached Melbourne after 33 days 22 hours from Lover to Point Lonsdale. The previous fastest time was. 35 days 1 hour. Her time from London Locks to her anchorage in the Bay was 34 days 8 hours. Captain F. J. Kearney, who has command of the Port Fremantle, is well known here, and for nine years he was in command of the steamer Port Melbourne. Luring non-stop she had averaged 14.64, knots. Only one spell of bad weather was met, when the speed muis reduced by 1£ knots. **
