CELEBRITY VAUDEVILLE

BIG DEMAND ON SEATS The unusual interest being taken by the public in the J. C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville Company, representing the greatest galaxy of stars ever brought to the Dominion, is demonstrated in the rapid manner in which the plan is filling at Lewis R. Kady and Son, Ltd. The season will last for eight nights, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday next. Popular prices are being charged at 6s, 4s and 2s, with 4s, 3s, and 2s for the

matinees, children being admitted halfprice to matinees only. Belmont’s Canary Opera, direct from Ziegfeld Follies, is the most unique novelty act in the world. It is the only feathered opera company in existence, and to actually believe that Belmont has trained his little songsters to imitate a complete opera this act must be seen in its entirety. Dick Henderson, the famous London comedian, has had the honour of two command performances, and is known through the world as “the man who made the Queen laugh.” Rich and Adair, the American favourites, will present their wonderful novelty, “The Flower Vendor,” and Les Zenga Freres have a beautiful Parisian dancing act. Valencia is a Spanish daredevil on the flying trapeze, and Marie Lawton is. the charming young artiste with the harp and the voice. The Lee Sisters, known everywhere as the “aerial girls,” delight and thrill, and Colin Crane, eminent baritone, possesses a voice of a quality rarely heard in vaudeville. Stella Lamonde, the vivacious soubrette, has an act that is just one series of sparkling moments. Tremendous interest is being taken in the canary contest now being conducted in conjunction with the display in Porter’s window, and the joke competition for Dick Henderson. Thousands of entries have been received since the launching of the contests. Details are advertised.
