JOCKEY GRAY’S POSITION
CONDITIONS OF SUSPENSION FIVE RENEWALS REFUSED Press Association. WELLINGTON, Saturday. The licensing committee of the Racing Conference has decided that Hector Gray, whose penality was reduced on Wednesday to suspension, can work in I a stable, do riding work, take a horse on to the- course on race days, but he must not enter the jockeys’ room or birdcage at fixtures. REEFTON HURDLE FIASCO Five jockey's who rode in the hurdle race at Reefton, and were suspended for 12 months, applied tq the licensing committee for the renewal of their licences, but the applications were all refused. [The jockeys implicated in the memorable event at Reefton on January 8, 1926, were W. L. Easton (Uncle Dave). M. Kirwin (Marble Slab), A. McMillan (Tenterfield), A. J. Peart (Cashman), A. G. Campbell (Flying Master), G. Salt, rider of the winner, Maunu, was not affected.]
