NO PROFIT LIKELY AUCKLAND SUGGESTIONS SCOFFED AT Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association it was stated that the total gate up to the present was £4,679, which was about £SOO below the estimate. The sum of £2,321 would have to come from the remaining gates to cover the expenses, and it is not expected that the tour will show a profit. In reference to the incident at Dunedin. when Edmonds, a Canadian player, was ordered off the field by the referee (Mr. J. Adams), the manager of the Canadian team has expressed a wish that the New Zealand Council should deal with the matter. It was decided that no further action was neededThe Auckland Association wrote expressing its belief that the council was not making every endeavour to win the test matches and suggesting the appointment of Air. P. Nee3ham as trainer-manager for the last test.
