GISBORNE, Thursday, t At a largely attended meeting of ratepayers this evening it was decided to petition Parliament to restrain the Gisborne Harbour Board from raising any further loans, or from departing from the original scheme for harbour works, until a further poll of ratepayers is taken; also that a Royal Commission be set up to investigate the past expenditure on various works in detail.
