A DEFICIT ANNOUNCED By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright MELBOURNE, Thursday. In the Assembly the Treasurer, Mr. E. J. Hogan, when submitting the supplementary Estimates announced that the deficit in last year’s revenue was £682,000, instead of £350,000 as had previously been stated. The revenue for the year was £26,400,000 and the expenditure £27,082,000. —A. and N.Z.
