With the exception of Gisborne, Marlborough and South Canterbury districts, the number of nominations exceeds fehe number of delegates required. A postal ballot is therefore being conducted, the necessary ballot papers being dispatched to each sheep farmer owning not less than 100 sheep in the districts concerned. The Electoral Committee when elected will meet in Wellington on August 25, to consider the fifth annual report and statement of accounts of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, and to elect three producers’ representatives on the board, for which the following have been nominated: H. D. Acland, Christchurch (sitting member); James Carr, Methven: J. O. Coop. Little River; J. S. Jessep, Wairoa (sitting member): Robert Latter, New Brighton, Christchurch ; William Perry, Masterton (sitting member).
