OHAKUNE IN DARKNESS

COMMUNICATION CUT OFF (Special to THE SUN.) OHAKUNE, To-day. Ohakune has experienced the heaviest fall of snow on recard. Snow fell continuously for 13 hours. Telephone communication was cut off and many motor-cars capsized in the snow. Motor services throughout the district have been disorganised. Last night the town had to rely on candles and kerosene lamps for its light. The inhabitants have been indulging in many snow fights and the photographers have been busy taking snow scenes.
